I am going to start blogging more, I swear ;)

I never had any problem with learning the truth as a child, and I loved believing in the fairy tale aspect of it....but my husband did have a hard time....they were not raised with Santa, but he knew of the story like we all do...and he as a small child with an overactive imagination, did believe on his own....very briefly....and when he discovered the truth was pretty pissed. He, even as a child, considered it a big lie.

Riley has had no problem with the transition and still plays using her imagination....she makes and finds "fairy houses" in the yard and every once in awhile asks "fairies don't really exist, do they?". And I say no, but it is still fun to pretend they do.....and that is how we are handling Santa. He doesn't exist, but it is sure fun to pretend.....and that should/ can be enough! We don't need to lie and say YES it is REAL!!! Look at the bite missing from the cookie! Parents get all CSI to prove it is real....I even heard of parents who make boot prints in the snow to "prove" he was there!

Anyway.... Thanks for commenting and can't wait to get the sling!!!! I am the same way... I gave up on cute clothes when I started buying cute wraps ;)dreaming and breathinghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08366264564065719684noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1590723474294746450.post-32158882183992938412011-02-07T13:17:28.902-08:002011-02-07T13:17:28.902-08:00Hey there! I'm popping over from BBC (I'm the one who just sent Mamami to Kalea Baby) and I LOVE your opinions. :) I have to say, I think it's actually very courageous of you to celebrate Christmas without lying about Santa. I never believed in him as a kid cuz I was the youngest and always tagged along with my mom, so it feels weird to tell my 7-year-old about him and perpetuate a myth. I wonder sometimes if she'll resent the fact that I lied about this (and the tooth fairy) or whether they create the fun world we hope they do for our kids. Only time will tell, I guess.

Anyway, like you, I am OBSESSED with babywearing. Like, I don't even own clothes that fit my post-partum body but will I spend hundreds on a woven piece of fabric? In a heartbeat! It's sooooooo addictive.

So, just wanted to say hi! I don't even know if you'll see this since it's been so long since you wrote this post. But Hi, anyway.

-HeatherHhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12667708554922784280noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1590723474294746450.post-61809755355188429782011-01-28T15:43:01.452-08:002011-01-28T15:43:01.452-08:00Don't stop.
